    ...is that he cannot resist pandering to whomever's in front of him.  

    So when Stephanopoulos suggests what his policy is, he can't help saying yes. Otherwise Georgie might not love him!

    The same happened when Romney was asked recently whether he would eliminate all the popular parts of Obamacare.  And when he was prompted about whether London was prepared for the Olympics. Etc.

    Knee jerk pandering is truly the source of many of his problems.

    So I'd like to propose an experiment. Have a reporter, in a calm, supportive voice, ask Mitt some outrageous question, like if he's a serial killer or whether he enjoys strangling kittens as a hobby.  See if he can't help agreeing...
