you have a sense as to whether the abortion clinic decision yesterday might place VA from swing to lean Obama?

Ds see human suffering and wonder what they can do to relieve it. Rs see human suffering and wonder how they can profit from it.

      •  That's right (4+ / 0-)

I'd guess a 5 point lead right now.   The abortion decision will much a much bigger difference next year in the Governor's race (the actual decision won't go into effect for two years).

PPP tweeted that Goode seems to be falling back, but that's not included in the 5 point lead -- we'll see their poll results tomorrow.   I live in a reddish county (James City County) and have seen much more enthusiasm for Obama than Romney.   I did, however, see a Romney bumpersticker yesterday.  One.

      •  barely, and a tie by MSM standard. I'm talking (0+ / 0-)

        about undeniably lean Obama.

at least from what I know about internal polling

and like last cycle, there is a huge advantage in ground game on behalf of Obama

          •  There I went again not being clear. My bad. (0+ / 0-)

I know all the polls tell us VA is at least lean Obama if not nearing solid Obama. What I should have clarified was if the abortion issue would move the polls significantly enough to where the MSM would not be able to get by with saying it's a tie/toss-up as some of them apparantly want desperately to do for as long as they can.

              for that to happen

in other words, a margin > than that by which he won state in '08

important to note that the voter-id laws in VA are not particularly restrictive, so voter suppression is harder to do

that if u back out the likes of Rasmussen, most poll aggregator models make VA likely Obama
