  •  Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier for them (7+ / 0-)

to just dispense with all the pretense, mass all their weapons together, take the govt by force, and then put Fox News and Rush Limbaugh in charge of all media?

Someone above said people don't want to hear about this. It's not that I don't want to hear about it; it's that it depresses me so much, because I look at what they have: the money, the MSM, the voting machines, the memes ("voter fraud," "election integrity,") the foresight to make sure they win state legislatures in census years -- you name it, if it's a way to rig the system, they've appropriated it.

And then I look at what we have -- good policy, good intentions, and the truth -- and I realize the enormity of what we are up against. I feel hopeless. (Yeah, I know, the truth is a strong weapon. But only if it can be disseminated. When 25-30% of the populace is only willing to listen to sources that lie to them, and wouldn't believe the sky is blue if it was told to them by non-Fox media, that weapon is seriously blunted.)

I know Obama was very keen on getting health care passed, but, as I said at the time, he really should have and started by addressing systemic corruption in the government and in our elections. He had the mojo at that time to have achieved some real victories in this area.
