    ushers, caesar salad, fancy deserts,

    Rarely have I see such a collection of well-dressed people at a daytime event in Seattle. The last time I saw this many suits or nice dresses was at the opera.
    A reminder that the rarefied world of the power elite doesn't touch on my little life, whatever my politics may be.

      Come on now -- the people there were a perfect cross-section of Washington State -- the were blue jeans - there were sandals/socks, there were shorts, there were dresses, there were shirts..... and yes there were suits

      everybody were represented -- so do not cut yourself short - do not cut yourself out from making a difference --

      unless that is your preference --

      and student tickets were only $20.00.

      I just meant that, compared to how Seattleites usually dress, there were a lot more pretty dresses and suits to be seen.
