Their "foreign policy" work across the Middle East is never done. Susan Rice appears to be cut from the same cloth:

US, Libya at odds over Benghazi attack

Libyan and US authorities have given starkly different accounts of what happened during last week's deadly attack on the US consulate in Benghazi.

US ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice said the attack began with a spontaneous protest over the anti-Islamic video that had already set off similar protests in Egypt, leading to the storming of the US embassy there.

"People gathered outside the embassy (consulate) and then it grew very violent and those with extremist ties joined the fray and came with heavy weapons, which unfortunately are quite common in post-revolutionary Libya, and that then spun out of control," Ms Rice told Fox News.

"But we don't see at this point signs this was a coordinated plan, premeditated attack."

    ::

But Libya's parliament chief blamed the attack on a few foreign extremists who he said entered Libya from Mali and Algeria and pre-planned it with local "affiliates and sympathisers".

"The way these perpetrators acted, and moved ... leaves us with no doubt that this was pre-planned, determined, predetermined," Libyan National Congress president Mohammed al-Megaryef told CBS News.

"It was planned, definitely, it was planned by foreigners, by people who entered the country a few months ago. And they were planning this criminal act since their arrival."

Susan Rice and her boss President Obama are far from being "cut from the same cloth" as the far right neocons who make up PNAC. If you think they are you don't know shit about the matter.

America could have chosen to be the worlds doctor, or grocer. We choose instead to be her policeman. pity

Such bullheadedness in the face of reality was also a quality of the Bolton UN team (and the Richardson one that preceded him -- who is also a Romney foreign policy adviser, I might add).

However, the constant scramble to cover for our foreign policy blunders and depravity goes with the job of US ambassador to the UN.

In that sense, I do admit that I judge her only on her unfortunate kabuki performance -- which may not be a reflection on her character. I have certainly never held President Obama accountable for the covert actions of our Defense Cartel. That part of our government -- which sucks up forever one-third of our Federal cash flow -- appears to be entirely autonomous.

She and Obama have a totally different worldview than the neocons, I'm very surprised you would see them as the same. She clearly has said that the explanation she and Obama are giving the American people is based on what they know now not what may be determined by the ongoing investigation. I'm surprised you would paint the administration with the "just like the neocons" label. It's untrue and unworthy of anyone who can read.

Being the US ambassador to the UN is a very, very, very dirty job.

It's worse than being a restroom janitor at a baseball park after the 11th inning.

That's where I put Susan Rice, in terms of the job she has to do.

The people doing the pissing are the neocons.  That's never changed.

I should not have compared Rice to Bolton. He loooved the job. For her, it will prove to be an embarrassment.

          totally disagree with that assessment.

It appears there are many spins  about who and how this happened and whose fault it is...you have detailed some of those...it's Chinatown.but saying Susan Rice is a Pnaccer is wrong...maybe Condi? Now there's a case for that!

But Pluto, who loves ya baby?

            Was she even born then?

About Susan Rice, I said she is engaged in:

...the constant scramble to cover for our foreign policy blunders and depravity goes with the job of US ambassador to the UN
Which, of course, is the god's truth.
