    •  My main worry is Rmoney's billionaires might (11+ / 0-)

switch the big buck spending to down races.  What is the point if the GnoP runs the house.  I hope Obama's coattails are wide enough for both houses.

Never promote men who seek after a state-established religion; it is spiritual tyranny--the worst of despotism. It is turnpiking the way to heaven by human law, in order to establish ministerial gates to collect toll. John Leland

Running a successful presidency is dependent on many factors and if the GOP takes another 4 years of subversion, diversion and sabotage to keep "the black man down" will the damage to the economy be repairable in the foreseeable future?  It seems the more I follow the current events and the wider my reading the more discouraged I become for the world that my children and grandchildren will have to live in.  I am not talking just SS and Medicare and deficit, but environmental and consequences of long term destruction of people and property of the prolonged warring and protests in the ME.

      •  We need to keep up our own financial commitment. (0+ / 0-)

Money alone won't win this election. Too many voters are firmly decided.
But we need to keep answering back strongly. Make them spend more millions on Romney. Keep their spending fever hot as a two dollar pistol. Make them spend a million bucks for every vote they get.

We can do it for far less money, but we have to keep the bucks coming in.

The conservatives have limits. They need a strong dose of financial discouragement now, as they're going to count on 2012 to be a repeat of 2010. There will come a point where most of their biggest supporters will decide to fold and leave the table, and this is the best time to make them double down.

And plan to dig deep in 2012. Dash their hopes of the future.

    •  yes! (0+ / 0-)

the 2014 races need to get going right now, especially in the toss-up states. What the Democratic party needs are many narrow wins in the House and holding on to the Senate.

Runaway victories do us more damage than the narrow ones, I believe. Our candidates must deliver once elected, and must be good enough to counter all the social issue wing-nuttery that deflects so much attention in the House.

The Republicans are deeply divided. We need people who can use this division in wise and careful ways. Keeping them split shouldn't be so hard to do, as they will do most of it themselves.

It's our time to be tightly unified, consistent, and keep strong party discipline from top to bottom. This is against our nature, but it has to be done.

Right many are called, and damn few are chosen.
