    •  this part? (9+ / 0-)

The rich, in turn, would use that money to import or build more stuff to market, thus increasing supply and stimulating the economy.

Instead, it goes to the stock market, for them to gamble with. They then cut wages of the peons, because they can.

The paragraph in the original comment was simple
in the point of view of proponents of the Supply Side
to explain the theory without plagerizing the entire article.  In no way would I ever try to peddle that theory as anything but junk.

The 2 Santa Clause theory explains the fall of Romney.
He wants to double down as grinch.  Taking money from the middle class to finance more boats and houses and foriegn bank accounts for the super rich with no expectation for any reward for the economy.

He is looking for sacrifice with none of the shared part.

Meanwhile, as I wrote a couple weeks ago.
Obama saved me $ 200,000 in future interest payments on my mortgage by offering the HARP refi program.

        Obama is my Santa Clause.

      •  I think you need to read the whole piece... (4+ / 0-)

The commenter above quoted the "setup", but not the conclusion of the piece... which essentially is:

In reality, his tax cuts did what they have always done over the past 100 years – they initiated a bubble economy that would let the very rich skim the cream off the top just before the ceiling crashed in on working people.

Freedom isn't free. So quit whining and pay your taxes.
