  •  I don't understand why any millionaire would (16+ / 0-)

vote for a Republican, other than the MIC-types.  Folks with businesses in America LOST THEIR SHIRTS when the GOP recession/depression hit.  I have dear, elderly friends who made their considerable fortune in real estate investment in PHOENIX and now they're losing their Malibu estate because they can't meet the mortgage and they can't sell it because upper-end housing hasn't recovered.  Their entire fortune was wiped out when the businesses renting their office space went under for lack of customers and my friends couldn't find enough new tenants to keep up the mortgage on those buildings, losing them to bankruptcy.

I have another former multi-millionare friend who lost everything with the real estate bust, as well.  She's now living on the kindness of the friends she made as a multi-millionaire and she's suicidal.  Saved money with the tax cuts.  Lost everything with deregulation of the banking system and the real estate crash.

When the GOP wins, the economy, the individual and even the very wealthy LOSE.

    GOTV for the:

    Best. President. Ever.

A very few won big and got ALL the marbles.  Loading everyone up with debt and then yanking the carpet out allowed them to pick up a bunch of real estate real cheap.

The mindset that you could keep refinancing into more and more debt to buy toys was particularly bad in Southern California.  Did they not realize that debt has to be paid back and that housing prices could not outpace price levels indefinitely?

In capitalist America, bank robs you!
