    and I pay no attention whatsoever to the school/s the person went to.

    It's irrelevant.

    I have personally had to do basic scientific/math modeling work for (no joke) a Purdue Rocket Science major, a person who had MS in engineering from MIT.

    I've had to make firing decisions for people who went to Notre Dame, while at the same time make glowing recommendations for people who went to . .. .  Notre Dame, MIT. . . . .

    The 2 sharpest US-educated people I ever worked with in my whole life went to NIU and Rose Hulman.

    School means nothing. It's all in the person - attitude, ability and what s/he's done before and/or is willing to do.
