    the state being 54-38 Obama and this district being tied at 47-47 is overwhelming.  In 2008, from memory, the state was 57-40 and this district was 56-41.

    Steve Sinsiger suggested the other day that SUSA is much better at polling statewide than House races.  This would lend credence to that theory.

        I'll try again.  Obama won the district 56-42 in 2008 and won Washington as a whole 57-40.  Pretty close.

        Survey USA had a statewide poll a few weeks ago that had Washington 54-38.  Now according to the writeup of this poll of WA-01, the district is 47-47 between Obama and Romney, which is nowhere near 54-38.  So that's the dissonance to which I am referring.
