  •  The WORST was Andrew Sullivan... (0+ / 0-)

You did not mention him, but he was practically begging Obama to NOT give Warren any airtime!

I read Sullivan daily because his team has great filters for picking news and research that I find relevant.

However, Sullivan is the epitome that once you are a "conservative", your brain gets wired for a large amount of intellectual dishonesty. David Brooks is the poor thinking man's version of Sullivan.

Sullivan hawked the Iraq war, like Mustache Friedman. Of course he has later apologized for it, and changed his stance.

He wrote a nice cover story on Obama in Newsweek, but has continued to blame Obama from walking away from the catfood commission's prescription for disaster.

He fights like a lion on hay right issues, but has often taken a much softer stance on other issues. While I cannot blame him for feeling strongly about an issue which is personal to him, he cannot draw upon the same degree of empathy for similar causes that others might champion.

So like most of the right wing rags - Wall Street Journal, The Economist (they really should change that name) - Sullivan's website is good aggregator of useful information, provided you take a large grain of salt with his personal writings!
