Social security is not "collectivist system." Social Security is a retirement annuity administered by the not-for-profit US govt. I'm 65, and I started PAYING into SSI at age 16, when I was in HS and worked Sats. and 1 night a week to start saving for college. That's about 40 yrs.

Now explain to me Mr Ryan what is the difference between purchasing an annuity from say Goldman Sachs or Aetna or paying into SSI all those years through payroll deductions. The difference, Sir, is the not-for-profit bit. That's right 20% of my pay-in is not going into your banker buddies' wallets.

Socialism is not dirty, and it is not the same as communism. There are some endeavours that SHOULD be socialized govt run not-for-profit programs: E.G., education, health care, military, police, firemen, 1st responders, public raods & transportation.

the Republican brand is totally bankrupt.
