"New, bright people" that aren't already folded into the DC CW, have great academic & on-the-job cred is a refreshing change that both Hayes and Melissa Harris-Perry bring to their new shows.

They'll work their chops and have their chance at a daily slot, comin' up, I'm sure.

    •  Melissa Harris-Perry was great as a guest, but (2+ / 0-)

I really don't enjoy her show, and I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it's because there have been a few instances where she let a right-wing guest get away with a talking point without rebutting it.

      •  Yes, love her but not her show. To me it is (0+ / 0-)

a good, broader topic show of interest, but I cannot take listening to her voice that long. Don't know what it is about her speaking style which is very nice, it just grates after a while.
