I've known some very successful businessmen, including my own father.  In my work in international classical music, I've rubbed shoulders with some pretty fancy millionaire supporters, including some of the richest people in the world.  In every single case, they either inherited it or lucked into it.  I never met one, including my father, who I would trust to start up a pop stand.

I mean the one I know and work for, he did start with nothing, but who his father was gave him advantages I will never have.

BUT . . . I would not at all say the same. His favorite story is turning 1,000 to 1,000,000.00.

Unfortunately he taught me how to negotiate (when we did my salary).

But he knows more law than the Firm I used to work for, is almost never wrong about deals,

More importantly would I ever want him to have a political office?

No! He is a good guy (deep deep down that maybe I am the only person that thinks), but he didn't even get the debt ceiling. It showed me here is a brilliant businessman, and it does not at all translate to Macro/Micro-Economics of an Economy.
