  •  Joy was a joy to behold! (11+ / 0-)

She has chops...and I hope, a political future as well!

Nothing worth noting at the moment.

    •  True, but something else is going on (7+ / 0-)

Which is that she's broadcasting enough now, she's developing the rhythm needed to keep making that voice stronger. She is already good and will get better.

It's one of he things they've done, develop a mix of old (only sort of) and starting moving talented younger people in.

Wags has grown enormously. Ratigan brought in the young panel, gave the their heads and let hem develop before he left. We could go down the list, Chris hays, etc, and the on air talent is loaded. My 65 yo bro in law from
Texas loves al sharpton. The bench strength is there.

As an old white civil rights er from the 60s, you can't imagine what a shakeup this is. People who can appeal to age groups, young strongly, and different ethnics. Imagine. Being young and black. Watch fox -- old dead white men without brains. Toure is sharp. The Latinos - strong.

I should say, it's gratifying and good programming.

      •  You're right -- they do a good job of grooming (4+ / 0-)

their talent by having them on repeatedly as guests then guest hosts before moving them into hosting jobs. Hayes is a perfect example. When he first started appearing on Rachel's show he was a bit awkward. Now, he's got my favorite show. It's the one I tape and always watch. And I wouldn't mind the cycle if they'd get rid of S.E. Cupp -- she makes me ill -- but i like the other three.

        •  Cupp's a waste, agree (0+ / 0-)

There's a perverse interest in young right wingers, especially when they dress in sheep's clothing. She reminds of ms witch from Delaware.
