    That interprets it as "no caffeine." It seems to me it's the older generations that take that hardline and the younger ones who are all "Wait a second, the WoW says nothing about Diet Coke!"

      specifies that the official interpretation is tea and coffee of any temperature. Individual Mormons are allowed to decide for themselves that drinking caffeine - or any other potentially-unhealthy lifestyle choice, for that matter - is not consistent with the healthy lifestyle that is the spirit of the WoW, but they're not supposed to believe that it's prohibited.

        The actual text says "hot drinks." So saying "tea and coffee of any temperature" is another interpretation, but not one that everybody follows...and when you factor in the emphasis on "personal revelation" (and the number of people who exclude soft drinks) and the fact that hot chocolate is allowed, though it's served at the same temperature as tea and coffee...then you see it's a clusterfuck of meaningless confusion. But in my experience, how you read and follow the WoW depends on age, geography, community...
