  •  Not a bad idea. (5+ / 0-)

I've got a good story about that chili-garlic sauce. I do a sesame chicken recipe that calls for 3 t. of that stuff. One night, I maybe had a little too much wine while I was cooking it. I misread my recipe and put in 3 T. instead of t. It was pretty hot. I ate it anyway but there were some complaints from the family.

I always use "some" chili-garlic sauce, no matter what a recipe says.

I've got lots of sesame seeds and the chili-garlic paste is a staple. I'd love the recipe for your sesame chicken!

you can do them all in the same wok.

        1) Deep-fry chicken chunks, pour off oil, reserve chunks. These should be lightly breaded with cornstarch. (I'll bet you could even use frozen chicken nuggets from the supermarket.)

        2) Saute some red and green peppers, remove peppers. Saute broccoli, then steam 'til tender, remove broccoli.

        3) Make the sauce: ¾ c. chicken stock, 4 T. lt. brn. sugar, 3 T. white wine vinegar, 1 T. soy sauce, 3 t. chile sauce with garlic, 1 t. rice vinegar. Thicken sauce with cornstarch slurry, pour over vegetables and chicken, garnish with a few drops of sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Sounds delicious and I have everything except red peppers. I had one but I ate it. I guess I'll be having Two-color Sesame Chicken, rather than your Three-color Sesame Chicken. :-)

          Thanks again.
