    But a degree of two centuries I'd say is significant.

    My point is, the manner of the 'Velvet Divorce' in Czechoslovakia (ie, peaceful, rapid) can be explained by that weak, short-lived union bt CZ and SK that had little basis in early modern or modern history, described above.

    That the issue of Catalonia autonomy has structural similarites to CZSK (different languages, forged out of war) only goes so far. The context is what, for me, disqualifies the analogy.
