  •  Is anybody polling Mo Senate now? (9+ / 0-)

Suddenly tons of Todd Akin signs are popping up everywhere.  It looks like all that Rove $$ that have given up on Romney is getting dumped into Missouri.  Can't let this one fly under the radar.  I've heard that after tomorrow comes and it's too late to get Akin off the ballot that McCaskill will dumb a bucket load of money in ads to smack woman-hater Todd, but it would be nice to get a sense of what's up. Lawrence O'Donnell may characterize him as the 'craziest Republican' running this year, but I have a feeling the evangelical churches and their extensive networks are going to work hard to legitimize him in places where all you need is an R next to your name to get a flood of votes.

      is back in Mo.

Demint has said he might support Akin, and Newt will fundraise for Akin, but that's all I heard.

I'd assume Akin campaign is behind the signs until hearing otherwise.

and all the superpacs had supposedly run away from him. I haven't heard anything about Rove $$ either, but seeing the sudden surge of signs after there were NONE makes me wonder.  Since I got here (visiting family in central MO) I've seen tons of brand new Akin signs but not a single Romney sign along the highway and just one small yard sign.

        •  He's still got religious right groups (0+ / 0-)

like Focus on The Family and the FRC. Also, people are probably much more comfortable putting up signs now that they aren't taking sides in an intrapartisan feud. Before there would have been the message that Akin shouldn't drop out, and they might not have wanted to offend Republican neighbors who thought he should.
