  •  IMO we need to do everything in our power... (5+ / 0-)

...to discredit this guy, even in the bad guys' alternate universe. Kos's diaries a month ago cheerleading about how we're winning are exactly right - we need to point this out as the truth NOW not only because we want to have an optimistic mindset, but because it's crucial to change conventional wisdom at the mainstream media level. If this BS narrative that we're tied or that its close persists through November, it makes it that much easier for Rove's minions to steal the election because everybody will think, "well it was close after all!"

And we need people on the other side to believe conventional wisdom as well, not the fake polls, because again, we cannot let them have a defense for any possible shenanigans that they are planning to pull.

Your not going to convince the wing-nut part of the other side no matter what proof you show them. I work with some GOP co-workers and most of them think it looks bad for Romney but there are a couple Tea Party types that will never accept the truth.

On that link a few people did go after the guy so it's not like he's totally getting by with it. If we are seeing what these polls are saying then so is Obama's team and he certainly knows how to handle it. Further from  the looks of everything even Romney's team  seems to be seeing it also. The Romney campaign even pulled out of PA  and Michigan that shows me that they were  reading their own internals and the numbers weren't that good.

But the fact that you have GOP co-workers admitting it looks bad for Romney is a start. It's what we need.

What is dangerous IMO is if those same GOP co-workers of yours all of a sudden start believing that hey, Romney's actually ahead because they just heard of that new pollster who said that all polls are wrong and that if you skew it one way (the right way), Obama is actually losing... This is what I'm talking about.

I mean, remember us in 2010? How demoralizing it was closer to Election Day because CW said we were going to get our asses kicked? That's how we want the other side to feel right now.

After all, all their friends hate Obama.

And when Obama wins, they'll have a reason, like all the dead people that must have voted, or the illegals whose IDs weren't checked.

How about just calling him a fucking idiot and letting it be.  Come November 7th if enough people call him a fucking idiot  and his 'predictions' come up to be completely off he'll have to realize how much of a fucking idiot he really was.

Either that or he'll continue to be a fucking idiot and claim that 'Obummer and the Dummycrats' somehow stole the election,  at which point we'll pile on and call him a fucking idiot yet again.
