    decide if I can afford an employee. Are we making enough to cover salary, employer portion of SS/Medicare and workman's comp? That expense comes out of gross business income as it should. I am really confused as to what you are suggesting here. If you are suggesting that employees should be paid out of after tax income that just makes no sense to me at all. That would be double taxation. You are taxing the business, then the leftover "profit" that is paid to the employee as salary and it is taxed again!

    if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.
