    "Corporate empire?"

All Greece had to do was not run up massive debt and they wouldn't be in this situation.

    •  sorry, I don't see it that way at all (8+ / 0-)

Greece is a symptom,  of people whose governments and media have betrayed them, much as ours has, by selling out to the idea that what is good for every multi-national corporation and international investment bank is good for people.   That governments should remain disunited, that laws on international commerce and banking should remain national and virtually unenforceable in today's world.

That the right wing stirs xenophobia, fear of 'international governments conspiring against 'our' population, all to further disunity and suspicion so that no countervailing power structure exists to oppose the exploitation, outright criminality, mercenary armies, etc. of the multi-nationals.

Multi-nationals are moving to a point where they not only control indirectly and operate through national governments but they rise above those governments and control with or without them.   The rise of private empire, not amenable to the will of people, largely beyond the power of nation states.  And the right wing in the US, ever driving up our military spending, damaging the US economy to benefit private empire, not the goals and aspirations of America.  We will become the mercenaries more and more directly of the multi-nationals, we will lose our standard of living more and more if real change doesn't come along. If we as a nation in concert with other nations that value public good over private gain don't move to regulate at an international level the actions of multinationals,  pollution, return of benefit to local populations of extraction of valuable resources, living wages, education, health care etc.   If we let Exxon or GE or Apple rob one nation, they are more able to rob us.

It takes a right wing mouth breather not to see it coming.

Cause it's Greece's fault they're paying 10x more in interest on their debt than Germany is.  Over 20% while Germany is paying around 2%.

But hey let's blame the victim and kick them while they're down .  Typical bankster bullshit.

        •  Yep (0+ / 0-)

That pretty much sums it all.  Blame the victims for one of the most massive frauds perpetrated on a populace.  Fellate those banksters some more why don't you cause it's clearly obvious you're for the 1% and don't give a flying fuck about the people whose lives are being destroyed by them.
