He has always seemed like a fairly ineffective congressman, especially compared to those from some of the neighboring districts. And that was before he got ensnared --indirectly, and perhaps unfairly -- in the scandal emanating from his brother-in-law's offshore gambling ring.

Nonetheless, his district is pretty heavily blue. I'll be surprised if Tisei is even above 47% in the voting.

Let us all have the strength to see the humanity in our enemies, and the courage to let them see the humanity in ourselves.

okay for Warren as well. It's Norfolk, Plymouth and Bristol (outside Fall River, New Bedford and Taunton) that are Brown's area.

...that they drove Olver into retirement rather than giving Tierney the axe.

The lady was enchanted and said they ought to see. So they charged her with subversion and made her watch TV -Spirogyra

Driving around parts of the district this weekend   was pretty much a sea of Tisei signs.....   of course I was up in the more republican areas...  like ipswich, topsfield and hamilton/wenham  and not in Salem/Beverly etc which is Tierney's base.

The distrit did change to add more Republican towns then Tienreys previous district.  And he is really getting hit hard about the wifes families gambling convictions.   Including a large story in todays Globe.

Tisei was my state Senator ( I'm not in that district, Ed Markey is my congressman)  and was fairly popular. I did meet him once when he had a Dem challenger. He was campaigning door to door.  But didnt represent large parts of the district he's running for.

I'm just getting bad feelings about this race.
