    you that it's bullshit.
    But if you take him at his word, then wouldn't his argument fall apart if he parks his corporation somewhere that it won't get taxed? Seems to me if his corporation is operating tax free or almost tax free, his unearned income ought to shoot up automatically, using Romney's own logic.

      affected - different companies have different policies about whether and how much to pay in dividends.  Some very successful companies (and their shareholders) would rather see that money re-invested in the company for growth.  I assume that would apply no matter where the company is.

      There are other benefits to holding investments in off-shore companies - for example, lower corporate taxes, foreign exchange advantages - which might affect the value of the investment, but not necessarily dividends.
