but maybe the Romney campaign really is that crazy and desperate.

    •  I have this passive-aggressive style with Romney (6+ / 0-)

I like to read the mail and return the postage paid envelopes with nothing in them.  When I see a web ad, I click on it hoping that it's pay-per-click and will chip away at that budget.  Hey, I don't have time to knock on doors for the President, but I work from home so can always answer my phone and am stuck on the computer all day, so I make the most of the time I have.

      •  My mom lives in a nice neighborhood (4+ / 0-)

so she gets massive amounts of junk mail from Romney- and she sends back the prepaid envelopes stuffed with Monopoly money.

I try to click through to several right-wing ads every trip to the library (from which I post).

        I read -- but don't post -- on a Kindle. And I often click-through on there, too.

My understanding, perhaps incorrect, is that they only charge for one click-through a day. So, I only give one per ad per day, per machine.

      •  I click on ads too (0+ / 0-)

Yes the ads are pay per click and I'm sure they're probably upward of $5 per click cause keywords related to politics are expensive.

It's more fun when the ad is shown on a progressive website, that way I know I'm spreading the wealth to a good course. Lol

Once in a while I go to google and search for Romney, click on their donate ad, once on the page I click submit and I get errors that I've not filled out the required info. I laugh and leave.
