    Fair enough. But the counterpart is Mr. Obama's highly-specific, highly unlikely to pass,  plan to do things like cut hundreds of billions from farm subsidies. So I'm not sure specifics that amount to no more than a wish list are that helpful an improvement.

      the elimination of farm subsidies might not be so out of the question.  Seen a Farm Bill lately?

        ≠ a farm bill without subsidies. The most I think we can say is that the current round of subsidies has been delayed until after the election. Then, whoever wins, the trough will reopen.
