    Speaking as someone with 10 + years of contented sobriety, try to remember that the best part of life lies ahead of you now.

    I have no wish to enter into a debate over the merits of AA. All I can say is that it's the only thing that's ever worked for me, and I've tried most alternatives.

    People in AA come in all shapes, sizes and spiritual preferences and non-preferences.

    My advice: go to lots of meetings, all over your town. Look for a group that suits you and then stick to it.

    Sobriety is worth it for you and the people who love you.

    Keep coming back.

      If the meeting group you try today rubs you wrong just move on to another group. You'll find (at least I did) all kinds of gatherings and people and some will fit better than others and some you'll just love.
      The main thing is that every meeting has people who want to be

      And they will help you get through too.
