Arpaio's and the Jan Brewer's in their midsts, not to mention their appalling "paper's please" legislation. If the Obama campaign's internal polling is showing a close race and you factor in the addition of those 160,000 newly registered Latino voter's since 2008, I think the President has a very good chance of being re-elected in one hell of an electoral landslide. One that will put the GOP out of contention for at least a decade.

though.  A serious play for Arizona would rely on registering many, many new voters.

      •  The issue isn't registration drives, the Obama (0+ / 0-)

campaign is extremely sophisticated w/regards to it's ground game nationally and the DNC has also been very active nationally for quite some time. I think the issue is whether or not the Obama campaign will invest the money in going hard after the vote w/ad buys and possibly planning campaign stops there.
