before election day. I think the "effectiveness" of the same piece of ad doesn't last beyond a week...but the same theme can hammered just by varying the ad.
...BTW when are we going to see ads of Mitt's Flip-flops?

    •  They're not going after the flip-flopping. Clinton (8+ / 0-)

allegedly advised them early on not to focus on that because it wouldn't be effective and, instead, focus on the extreme views that he expressed to get the nomination.

Clinton’s logic: running against a conservative ideologue would help energize liberal voters and donors — and the flip-flopper charge could backfire. The Obama campaign seems to have taken the advice to heart — building its case around the message that voters should take Romney at his word about the conservative policies he has backed.

      Smart move, imo.

that Clinton knows what he is talking about.

That is the issue: the Republican platform is radical and extreme, and taken point-by-point, most Americans don't agree. Our job is to clear away the obfuscation (e.g. Ryan talking about how their plan strengthens Medicare) and remove the pretty fake wrapping so that voters can see what the GOP really wants.
