I haven't seen any Romney signs or bumper stickers in my part of Dade County or in Miami. Just saw the first Connie Mack sign this week. Signs may be out, but not in areas I travel. It was different in 2008, when McCain-Pail signs and bumper stickers were every evident.

However, there are A LOT of Obama bumper stickers all over the place, just like 2008. People are volunteering at the OFA offices and holding several house parties  per week. This is in addition to the activism from the grassroots group.

Maybe 2010 was a wake up call for progressive organizers. I certainly hope so. We got a hugely raw deal in that election. Rick Scott is pariah all over the state, but especially down here.

Let the goopers stay home. I hope so. It'll make it easier for Obama to carry this state. We will turn out this year.

The energy in Indiana in 2008 was amazing but Obama is simply MIA this year. Hope Donnelly defeats Mourdock - and it looks like he might - but it sure isn't helping that we've gone back to the bad-old-days when the National Democratic Party counts out Indiana.

It frustrates the bezeebers out of me that the Electoral College system essentially counts some Americans more important than others.

      •  There are some of us that have loosely organized (6+ / 0-)

by ourselves and are ground pounding and registering people.

I suggest you could do the same in your area, work out of your living room and use Facebook, its working for us so far.

If they aren't doing what needs to be done, you do it on your own.

I'm not duplicating what I did four years ago where I live in Missouri, but I know what needs to be done in my part of the state -- registering people -- and I am organizing that on my own even though the Nixon campaign has got paid staff.  That is not a priority for them.

If McCaskill loses by a couple of thousand votes, it will be because there was no registration effort.
