    "I'm sorry".

I'm sorry my payment is late.
    I'm sorry I can't donate right now.
    I'm sorry I can't help you.
I'm sorry I can't pay this bill this month.
I'm sorry I can't buy you (whatever toy your child is asking for).
I'm sorry, all we have for lunch is Ramen.
I'm sorry, you'll have to wait until next week.
I'm sorry, that's all we have, just drink it.
I'm sorry, I can't make that until the food stamps come in.
I'm sorry, we can't make that trip we've planned for the past month, we don't have the money.
I'm sorry, we don't have any snack food right now, you'll have to wait until dinner.
I'm sorry, we're out of bread until after Caedy gets home from work tomorrow.
I'm sorry, I'm going to have to reschedule that appointment, I just don't have bus fare right now.

is talking to me about which of her friends would be willing to take in her cat, since if she can't pay rent by the 14th, she will be evicted and living in her car.

And I can't do a damn thing for her. I haven't an extra bedroom, I don't have the money to go get her or to pay her rent or anything.

She just got her first disability denial.

When you come to find how essential the comfort of a well-kept home is to the bodily strength and good conditions, to a sound mind and spirit, and useful days, you will reverence the good housekeeper as I do above artist or poet, beauty or genius.

Can she call 211 and maybe get some help paying the rent for a month so she has more time to figure things out?

to see if he'll help her out.

Her psychological issues are getting in the way of being able to solve a lot of this.
