I'll have to check it out on my Mac when I get home.

I have to ask if she has that Americanised Scandinavian accent that you hear when you start getting north of Minneapolis?

Earlier this year, she was named to Obama's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, which helps advise the president on the economy.

Her SBA award is kind of funny as well

Miller joined Permac Industries in 1992 as a salesperson. Although she really had no background in manufacturing or in running a business, Miller purchased Permac in 1994, a small precision machine parts manufacturing company that, at the time, was in workout condition with the bank. Dave Cleveland of Associated Bank believed in Darlene and helped her get an SBA 7(a) loan and mentored her during those early years.
But of course she built it
Besides the initial risk of purchasing Permac, Miller continues to take risks by investing in the latest equipment and technology.
In the machine shop business, it is not risky to invest in state of the art, it is practically required.
