    Yes, the thing that struck me most about "Mountains of Madness" is how the narrator goes from scientific curiousity about the creatures found frozen in the ice, to horror, and then eventually to empathy as he learns more about them and about the Greater Horror Which Lies Beyond."

    Once again, I'll be discussing this one in a little more detail in a couple weeks.
