  •  it wasn't honored 4 years ago (4+ / 0-)

and I'd call at least 10 mil more votes for Obama was a real mandate.

i just don't know what we think will change.

    •  It will not be honored as long as Republicans keep (1+ / 0-)

treating the President as an illegitimate President/American/winner - of course most of it having to do with Obama's skin color not sitting well with the base (and base they are).  Those poor, poor Republicans - just 8 years ago they were talking about permanent Republican majorities, eliminating Social Security, giving more tax breaks for millionaires, in short: turning the US Government completely over to Norquist and his army of lobbyists - and now they look like they have no chance at the White House, the Senate, and they are going to have to work very hard to avoid losing the House.

Sadly it is probably going to get uglier after the Election, especially if Republicans retain the House because then the hostage taking will be like we have never seen before.

Then they came for me - and by that time there was nobody left to speak up.

every which way we turn, no matter what the configuration is... the Dems can not seem to get the people's business done.

yet........... they can somehow very quickly find common ground with Rethugs to give the bankers and brokers our billions.

i'm just saying... look at the patterns. doesn't convince me the Dems are victims, but playing this game: good cop / bad cop and while we are blaming each other, the global corporate fascist state continues to grow.
