  •  Ouch. The Jags lost again yesterday... (5+ / 0-)

    and at home too.

There's a piece in the paper every week after the game called "Monday Morning Quarterback".  It's short notes the fans send to the paper about the game and the team.

    Here's a sample:

"Mr, Khan (the team owner), please consider bringing back the blackouts!"

"If Khan fires Gene Smith (general manager), I'll pay for the moving company."

"Jacksonville Jaguars the Chicago Cubs of the NFL."

Ouch...and things don't look like they're going to get much better.

    ::Sigh::

It usually helps that I have another team that I love, but they lost yesterday too :(

College games fared much better though as #6 ranked SC beat #5 ranked Georgia on Saturday.

    •  My college game was better also. (4+ / 0-)

I am ready for someone to admit that you can't build your offensive line around a 35-year-old center who has never played in the west coast offense.

Ted Thompson needs an intervention. He has no clue what kind of offensive line is needed to protect a franchise quarterback and his GM Malpractice is risking the loss of that franchise quarterback and our season. If there is anyone who thinks that Graham "First Snap in Live NFL Action is a Fumble" Harrell can lead this team to anything but a high draft pick next year is delusional.

What I am most peeved about is that I wasted 3 hours watching that game yesterday.

      •  Well, the first half was good (5+ / 0-)

for you.  I stopped watching when MY Colts were down 21-3.
Watched the 4th quarter.  The Colts tried to lose like against Jax, but it was a pretty emotional win with Coach Pagano in the hospital with leukemia.

        •  And yesterday the Colts won (4+ / 0-)

as many games as all of last year.

        •  Yeah, we can't seem to put together two halves. (3+ / 0-)

Against the Seahawks, we played only the 2nd half and lost.

Against the Colts, we played only the 1st half and lost.

I am seeing a pattern. And the pattern is that McCarthy can't seem to make adjustments except at halftime. And he is stubbornly refusing to see that his offensive line sucks. He needs an intervention also.

Yes, our normally reliable kicker missed two field goals in a climate controlled environment but you can't let your game come down to a field goal.

the sportscasters give tributes to Pagano during the pre-game shows.  Bradshaw was especially poignant in saying that none of them really could understand what Coach Pagano was going through.  I wish him a speedy recovery.

I began watching the Falcon/Redskins in solidarity with my brother, a lifelong Falcon fan living in Seahawk country.

Falcons managed a win after trying hard to give away the entire game in the second half.  They have won all their games along with Houston who plays tonight.
