would expect a small percent of your own party to disagree, but you would also expect a small percent of the opposing party to join in finding solutions.  I don't think its a dysfunctional Democrat Party as much as it it a dysfunctional, obstructionist, win at all cost Republican Party.

That said your point is well taken, and I agree that we have to round up our own team first and foremost, but the duty of any elected official is (or should be) to solve the problems facing our nation, and that is where we hit a brick wall with the opposition.

Expose the lies. Fight for the truth. Push progressive politics. Save our planet. Health care is a right, not a privilege.

We can all agree that the GOP has spent the past 30+ years increasingly losing its grip on reality.  Problem is that far too many Dems keep seeking "bipartisanship" along the way.

Bipartisanship brought us Justices Scalia and Thomas, the Patriot Act, the IWR, retroactive FISA immunity, welfare "reform," telecom deregulation, and the revocation of Glass-Steagall.  It is a morally bankrupt and politically incoherent approach that far too many Dems are far too eager to pursue.

Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream of things that never were and ask why not?
