  •  The US will have 30,000 drones (9+ / 0-)

...in American skies over the next few years -- run by all sorts of folks.

A 9/11-style insider job will be a cinch to pull off.

It's funny how war crimes boomerang on you.

    •  If one has to choose between 30k drones over US... (0+ / 0-)

      ..airspace, or hiking/creating REGRESSIVE TAXES/FEES for more police presence, it's a no-brainer.

Let's not forget that the median income has stagnated for over 12 years.

If Dems are wiling to support a tax on net worth to cover incremental spending, I'm all for it.  The likes of Warren Buffet and Larry Ellison should contribute 8% of their wealth to the federal government each year.

But if Dems are too afraid to ask the really wealthy to pay their fair share (and by really wealthy I don't mean a junior investment banker), then I say, let's use technology to reduce government expenses.

a Constitutional Amendment. The federal government could not impose a wealth tax on Americans without a Constitutional Amendment, much like the 16th was required to implement the income tax. Several European countries have them and they range from 1-3% per year. More European countries did have them, but dropped them because they found that over time their over all tax revenues were declining due to capital flight, and slower economic growth.

        "let's talk about that"

We don't have to become a police state.

The founding fathers knew of the mutually corrupting influences of Church and state, wisely sending them to opposite corners.
