    The assumption that who paid her is irrelevant is highly inaccurate since they would only pay people that suit their purposes so it is clearly a conflict of interest if she is pretending to protect the people on the other side. The fact that they reneged on the deal after the fact doesn't change her participation and if she was a consumer advocate as she said she was she could have spoken up but of course she had a conflict of interest.
