I remain profoundly disappointed by the narrative.

...but that, in a sense, makes it even better.  The President's campaign could not use the father, because he's still on active duty.  Other news organizations, however, can request interviews with him for informational or news purposes  (Unless he's in the Special Forces.)  That, after all, is not a partisan political advertisement -- and it would fix the narrative hole, not to mention create a great human interest moment on the nightly news.

I don't know about you, but if I were on the Obama team, I'd be flogging that fact like a rented mule.

What do you want to bet that those interview requests are going out right now?

Can't this time. I'm surprised at your reaction. I understand this because I was married to an airman during Desert Shield/Storm. There are so many rules that it's crazy!

Military life is quirky as hell. Guess you don't understand unless you've experienced it. Even without the regulations barring participation in political activities, the service members I know would not say much publicly. They don't want problems with their superior officers, who can make life hellish for them.

So I understand, totally. Your life is not your own. The recruiters don't tell you that part. You're protecting freedoms of others and lose a lot of your own. Blech.  :(

    •  Scott? slap yourself on the face...then look (0+ / 0-)

at the video again...you should see better this time...
