    dismiss in the Manning case are part of some overall legal strategy? Are they trying to put pressure on the prosecution to proceed? I can't imagine, if they are top notch attorneys, that they are doing this because they actually think they will get the charges dismissed.

      I don't know what their overall legal strategy is, but judging from the public information about Manning's treatment and about the delay in prosecuting him, the defense motions appear to have merit.

        That you believe it plausible he will actually be released? Or that in your personal opinion they have merit but you live on the planet Earth so you know that isn't going to happen? Because I don't think anybody with knowledge of this case and our legal system realistically thinks this case is dismissed.
