    that in communication, it's the perception that matters, not the intent. However people perceive what you say is what affects things, no matter what you "meant."

    remember to use positive affirmations. "i am not a dork" is not one of them

      "If you can't say what you mean, then you can never mean what you say."

      Although let be honest, understanding this nuance in communication requires some maturity and self reflection, at least at the lever of my nine-year-old, and I'm pretty sure Romney and Ryan et al fail at even that level.
