    I love looking at original MS.  Spent my entire time at the British Museum in the Cottonian "library room" standing in awe in front of Beatrix Potter's handwriting, RLS's same, and of course, numerous illuminated MS.  I worshiped.

    The most impressive "manuscript" I've ever seen though, is in France -- The Bayeux Tapestry.  I think of it as the Illustrated Classics of the Norman Conquest.
