your connection. I had that recently too for a ridiculous reason in my case, instead of the normal reason. (Somebody yanked the cable wires apart outside - I think it was a big truck and low hanging cable wires.)

I don't think Democrats in Texas can have too much political info at this point. We've been drowned in misinformation by the likes of Karl Rove and it's great to have a candidate whose heart is in the right place and will not be intimidated after a life of political and legislative experience.

That's really too bad about what Yucatan Man said re: the firing of "liberal" editors at the Dallas Morning News. Really too bad.

But even the lauded NYT has or had at least one right wing editor - so right wing that he publicly chastised in print Linda Greenwood who did judicial reporting for stating she was troubled by the Iraq war at her speech at her alma mater. It made me so mad I e-mailed him and copied every editor at the times that it was pretty hypocritical for the Times to have permitted Judith Miller to write propaganda for the war on the front page and then criticize someone on their staff for expressing concern about the tragedy of the preventive Iraq war in an emotional moment when she was back at her alma mater for a speech there.

You should read a typical Texas RW slanted newspaper once in a while, especially the editorial pages; it accounts for some of the stoopid. Try the Valley Morning Star sometime.

My IP is wireless 3G, all we have out here in the boonies, and damned glad to have it since dialup was the only thing until a while ago (cityfolk are damned spoiled IMO). And we've been paying a special tax for many years to upgrade telecomms in the boonies, just another ripoff.

Would this be 'Linda Greenhouse'? I remember seeing her on the PBS Newshour often.

in print Linda Greenwood who did judicial reporting
(I get a daily NYT/WaPo summary email but rarely read much there anymore)

I'm not sure why but sometimes I call her Linda Whitehouse.
Greenwood is a new one for me....
I don't know where that came from.
Thanks for the reference I will try to read the Valley Morning Star on line.
          Appreciate it.
