Job growth is not fast enough to make a meaningful dent in the numbers of under and unemployed.  the stimulus in '09 was, as predicted, too small to close the output gap.  Meanwhile recent graduates are encumbered with undischargable student loan debt.  Wages have been flat since the late 70s while all the productivity gains have been siphoned to the top 1%.  Millions have lost the economic security of the good ol' days.  All that is left is for some neoliberal Democratic President to "reform" entitlements to push the middle class into the abyss.
