  •  That's too sensationalistic. (0+ / 0-)

I much preferred the anti-Palin ads with a mother of a teenaged daughter who'd been raped talking about how important it was for her daughter to have a choice about continuing the pregnancy.

The daughter spoke too.  It was incredibly powerful.  (And not exploitative and over-the-line.)

    •  My point is, why talk about (0+ / 0-)

choice at all?  I realize that's where we Kossacks would enjoy drawing the skirmish line.  We like that skirmish line.

However, Republicans and Independents who are ANTI-choice or neutral or confused on the issue of choice were offended by Akins' remarks.  That should be exploited.

The ad I suggested is nominally a pro-choice ad, but the subtext is about victimization of weak women.

Another alternative ad I would suggest:

We are looking out the window of a slowly cruising car.  A man's sinister eyes alone, are focused on, looking left and right at young attractive women in suburban areas at night.  Parks, shopping mall parking lots, residential neighborhoods.  And the same voiceover I suggested before, about Todd Akins' remarks about rape.
