  •  The President's comments on social security (2+ / 0-)

    were some of the most troubling aspects of this debate, IMHO. It reminded me of the wasted time and energy spent on bipartisanship, seeking to find the "Grand Bargain" with Republicans, of his first term.  I had been hoping that as his chances of election were improving in the polls that he would realize that the American public is supportive of a more progressive agenda.  But I fear that if Obama is reelected, we will be in for more of the same frustration.

      he will be more progressive. Remember both candidates are trying to win undecideds and independents and some of them are very moderate or even swring voters who lean to the right.
