AOL or Yahoo Poll. Pathetic actually. Obama should have called Romney out on all his lies and said under the Obama plan Social Security is Safe as is Medicare and that he has no idea what plan Romney and Ryan are currently supporting for Social Security. Obama needs some spit and vinegar and fight. I was a little mad he wasn't fighting for us and the Truth. General feeling is Romney Won big time so it didn't help that Obama announced at the end it was "a good debate". Christ he was tougher on Hillary!!! Plus he also said "he and Mitt have similar ideas about Social Security". WTF?

"It is the difficulties that make us stronger."

parts of his Mass. legacy which he had avoided but not disavowed in the past election cycle.

Obama focused on presenting his positions and avoiding personal attacks - so no 47%, personal taxes (attack best left to surrogates), likes to fire, does not care poor people, etc.,.  Additionally, Obama did not engage in shouting match when Mitt interrupted parts of debate.  In this respect, Obama was calm/unruffled and Presidential.  Further in the next Presidential debate, he can engage freely without the MSM stating that Romney had rattled the President.

Romney as a Republican challenger had a lower standard.  He has been described as robotic in the past so being aggressive can give him the label of being "passionate".  Additionally as a Republican challenger attacking the moderator is pure win, if corrected "MSM bias" (see Newt) or if allowed "free airtime" which happened.

Unfortunately a win is always preferred over a loss but this loss lowers expectations and definitely allows Obama to be free to engage in the next debate.

Further if Mitt wants to now embrace his Mass. legacy, he can be hung on ALL of it.
