and those who are claiming CNN committed a fraud are no better than those conservative jokers admitting a nationwide conspiracy to skew the polling in Obama's favor.

is not the same thing as questioning the bias of multiple polls from multiple polling outfits.

'Bogus' and 'distorted' does not necessarily mean fraudulent.  I think proof of intent is needed to cross that bar.

I think the discussion is useful from individuals with the expertise to provide their input.  We have views from both sides.

And that's a good thing all day.

What's not good is HR'ing the tip jar because you disagree.  That I do take issue to.

    •  Markos, why don't you use your power and influence (0+ / 0-)

to find out and report to us one simple thing that TPM apparently already knows: how many of those sampled were in the 50+ group and now many were in the <50 group.  Let's deal with actual numbers, and then you can tell me whether you think that that deviation (if any) from the demographic norm for the voting population is acceptable.

Looking at the numbers, I think that it's probably quite discrepant, and that a proper headline might have been something like sample of by far most people over 50 thinks that Romney won by margin of 67-25."

Anytime you want to back of that "no better than" comment, you're welcome to do so.  You can do it in advance of getting those figures, or you can wait until you know whether you have no choice.
