  •  Exactly -- Obama used the time to present his (4+ / 0-)

position and left the attacks to the media wing.

The MSNBC folks were apoplectic, but it allows round 2 (town hall) and round 3 (counterpunch) to happen.

Oh, and Joe Biden can punch whatever he wants because Ryan has a glass jaw.

Happy little moron, Lucky little man.

    •  And to that, I'd add that the Veep debate is not (2+ / 0-)

independent of the Prez debates. Romney/Ryan is a package deal the same as Obama/Biden. You don't get one without the other. So anything Ryan says and does, Romney will rise and fall with.
Ryan is so radical, his ideas, once stated, so repugnant to the middle class majority of Americans, that all Biden has to do is wind him up and let him go like chattering teeth or a monkey with cymbals.
UNLESS Ryan tries to "go Romney" on us and be in the debate the polar opposite of who he is on the stump. I don't think he could pull it off. His persona is not fluffy like Romney's. Ryan is a pointed, hair-splitting political thing.

I am so looking forward to the vice-presidential debate.
