    father was an usher at Ebbett's Field and told Robinson's story many times.  

    After being a lifetime FDR Democrat and enduring Reagan (and Clinton) and Bush years, towrd the end of his life he would say that he didn't expect to live to vote for a winning President again.  He died just a few months before Barack Obama became #44.

    He would have loved Obama and seen the Robinson analogy immediately, as I didn't and you did.
